About Us
The Double Dog Center for Sport & Arts Inc. is an educational non-profit corporation, incorporated by the State of Vermont on January 23, 2006. The Double Dog Center was co-founded by president Timothy Whitney and vice-president Diana Whitney, and is based out of our home office in Brattleboro, Vermont. Our mission, as an educational organization, is to facilitate the teaching of meditative arts, sports, yoga and other activities, which promote inner peace, wisdom, and physical well-being. We provide unique educational experiences to all who seek them regardless of their age, sex, race, background, financial capacity, or place in society. We strongly believe that sport, yoga, meditation, and other esoteric and psycho-spiritual arts (such as dowsing, alchemy, tarot, dreamwork, and astrology) offer ways for humans to find internal joy and meaning in an increasingly complex world. These arts connect us with our deep potential and thus enable us to live healthier, happier and richer lives. We are currently seeking 501(c)(3) tax-exempt, non-profit status from the Internal Revenue Service. We anticipate this process to be completed by the end of the year. In the mean time, any donations can be considered as charitable donations on your 2006 Income Tax Return per IRS rules.
